Who We Are
Catholic Charities Boston (CCAB) is one of the largest social service non-profit organizations in Massachusetts, with over 70 programs serving neighbors of all faiths and backgrounds. Our mission is to welcome and serve, with compassion and respect, all those in need by providing life’s necessities, education, and advocacy to move families toward self-sufficiency.
What We Do
At Catholic Charities Boston, our shelters provide a safe place to sleep for families and individuals in need–and much more.
Catholic Charities provides temporary, supportive residences for women and families working to get back on their feet and under their own roof.
Each program is staffed 24/7 with qualified, trained workers to help provide safety and consistency to families and/or individuals. Case Managers assess the needs of residents and together they determine the best path to rebuild, strengthen their families, and move toward self-sufficiency.
Residents are referred directly through the Executive Office for Housing and Livable Communities. Shelter locations are not publicly disclosed for the safety and privacy of the residents, many of whom have experienced significant trauma, abuse, neglect.
