One of the most comprehensive non-profit providers of social services in Massachusetts, we offer over 70 programs across more than 20 locations throughout Greater Boston, with 450 employees serving thousands of individuals and families annually within the four core areas of Basic Needs, Family & Youth Services, Refugee & Immigrant Services, and Adult Education & Workforce Development.

Rooted in our faith mission, we address critical social justice issues with compassion and aim to break the cycles of poverty in our communities.

What We Do

Being a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide can be the first step on a career ladder into higher paying jobs in the health care sector including Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Registered Nurse (RN).

  • A Nursing Assistant is a person who assists individuals with health care needs, performs activities of daily living, and provides bedside care (including basic nursing procedures) all under the supervision of a RN or LPN.
  • A Home Health Aide provides routine, personal health care, such as bathing, dressing, or grooming to elderly, convalescent, or disabled persons in patients’ homes.
  • This program is offered at NO COST for participants who meet income eligibility and program requirements, and training stipends are available.
