ESOL Instructor
Program:
Labouré Adult Education, a high-quality program serving adult immigrant learners in their pursuit of English proficiency, college and career readiness, and self-sufficiency.
Role Overview:
Teach intermediate (Level III) and advanced (Level V - Foundations of Critical Thinking) ESOL classes to adult students. Integrate technology (Google Classroom, Zoom, Kahoot, etc.) to support engaging, student-centered learning. Help learners build critical communication and digital literacy skills needed for higher education and the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-person ESOL instruction, student assessments, and educational advising.

Develop and adapt curriculum materials aligned to best practices and students’ goals.

Maintain student records and participate in staff meetings and professional development.

Foster a culturally responsive, supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.

Minimum 3 years teaching ESOL/adult education.

Strong technology skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.

Excellent communication, cultural competence, and problem-solving abilities.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Reports To:
Program Administrator or designee.
