Help with our busiest food pantry in Dorchester, MA!

Please note: We do require individual volunteers (those not with a group) to be CORIed. Please do the following:

• Complete this CORI form and email it to Holly Clark at holly_clark@ccab.org, along with a photo or photocopy of a government-issued photo ID
• OR, bring these items to the pantry for your first shift.
• A pantry staff person will check your ID in-person at your first shift regardless, so please bring it then.

As a volunteer at Catholic Charities’ Yawkey Food Pantry, your role will include restocking pantry shelves, helping with product selection, preparing bags for distribution, client intake, some light cleaning, and helping lift and transport light to moderately-heavy items. The Yawkey Food Pantry serves many Hispanic, Haitian, and Cape Verdean clients, so language skills in these areas are highly desired.

Parking at this site is extremely limited, and we encourage volunteers to use MBTA whenever possible. If you drive, we ask that you please do not park in the building's lot during business hours. 

Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes are encouraged, as volunteers sometimes work outside. Gloves will be provided, if needed. Upon arrival, please ring the doorbell of the front door and ask for the food pantry team at the front desk.
